The idyllic village of Hinterthal is surrounded by the pristine nature of the Hochkönig Mountains.
Hinterthal is a part of the holiday region of Hochkönig, together with the villages of Maria
Alm, Dienten and Mühlbach.
Maria Alm, an attractive small town has a full range of shops and facilities.
Hinterthal itself is a small, typically Austrian village, with a variety of bars and restaurants.

Outdoor adventure


In the nearby village of Maria Alm (8 km.) you will find the Natrun Adventure Mountain.
The Natrun forest ropes course is an excursion destination and outdoor experience for the
whole family. Swing among the treetops at a height of up to 14 meters. In the Natrun forest
ropes course, you will be personally accompanied by trained instructors through the different
courses. Highlights are the 120m long Speed Flying Fox, the King Swing, and the free fall
from a height of 14 meters!

Alpine Coaster on the Biberg


Fun for the whole family pleasure can be found on the 1.6 km long Alpine Coaster toboggan
run on the Biberg in Saalfelden (approx. 5 km. from Dienten).Take a seat, release the brake,
and off you go! On this action-packed ride, you will conquer 345 vertical meters, 61 fun
curves, and 3 super jumps. Whether dashing down the mountain or a leisurely ride down into
the valley, you can set your own pace with the brake.

Swimming pool


There is a large outdoor pool in nearby Maria Alm. The swimming pool is ideal for families
with children, partly because of the 40 m water slide.

Parents can enjoy a well-deserved break
in the relaxation area around the pool.

Golf


There is no golf course in Hinterthal itself. However, this is made up for by Der Golfplatz
Urslautala course located between Maria Alm and Saalfelden. This 18 hole golf course is set
amidst tranquil alpine scenery and is suitable for both novice and advanced golfers.
