We had a wonderful stay in Marguerite’s lovely apartment in Hinterthal.
The location of the apartment was very convenient for us as it’s just a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive to the centre of town, and yet boasts the most incredible views over farmer’s fields and the mountains beyond, which were such a luxury to wake up to every morning.
You could tell the house was newly built as all the fixtures and fittings are of incredibly high standard and everything worked perfectly. A well equipped kitchen fulfilled all our cooking needs and the beds were all very comfortable with good quality pillows and duvets. We also had use of the sauna and the laundry room, which are located in the basement and are shared with the owner.
Hinterthal has a lot to offer, both summer and winter and the apartment is a lovely refuge to head back to after a busy day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

We had a wonderful stay at this absolutely fantastic chalet in Hinterthal.
It is brilliantly situated close to the main ski lift and incredibly comfortable and well equipped. Spacious and stylish with fantastic beds and linens and beautiful en-suite bathrooms. The views are amazing there’s a gorgeous wrap-around balcony with access from each of the bedrooms. The sauna was a real plus and wonderful after a long day on the slopes. Check in was smooth and we met the delightful owners who made us feel so welcome. We would return in a heartbeat!
The Chalet Orléans is the most comfortable and convenient base for a winter or a Summer holiday in the Austrian Alps. It is perfectly located in the midst of a range of ski resorts, mountain trails, and character-filled villages and towns: the Hintertal lifts and slopes are literally on its doorstep. The chalet combines both old and new brilliantly: it is beautifully built with traditional wooden beams and balconies, but all the facilities, such as the sauna, bathrooms, and kitchens, are thoroughly modern and easy to use. The ingenious design appears to bring the views inside as the walls of glass supply inspirational views of the Hochkonig and other mountain ranges, whilst the viewer reclines by the fireside on the most capacious sofas. The Chalet is so well equipped with sleep-inducing deluxe beds, large cupboards and storage areas and a large garage for two cars. You could not hope to find a more relaxing base for a holiday in the Alps.

Extremely comfortable, with glorious views of the beautiful countryside.
In the winter it is conveniently close to the extensive ski area of Hinterthal - Dienten -
Muhlbach, which suits all levels of expertise - Winterparadies indeed.
At other times of the year, there are beautiful walks through the area.
Nearby Maria Alm offers excellent shopping and restaurants to suit all budgets.
The whole area is very charming and unspoilt.

Chalet Orléans is situated in the stunning valley of Hinterthal with peaks and glaciers all round up to 10,000 feet.
It is also a recognised and popular ski resort with endless lifts and runs for skiers of all standards.
The brand new but traditional Chalet has been designed to the very highest standards - it is welcoming, comfortable, homely and roomy. It definitely merits 5***** in our opinion.
