Winter in Hintertahl

The Hochkoenig ski resort connects the villages of Mühlbach, Dienten
Hinterthal and Maria Alm. For skiing and snowboarding, there are 112
km of slopes and 8 km of ski routes and  33 lifts  The winter sports area
is situated between the elevations of 800 and 1,900 m. It has some of
the Hochkönig's best off-piste and hidden mountain routes.

Skiing

 

This ski region offers one of the most breathtaking ski tours in the Austrian Alps - the Königstour.

It is 32 kilometers of slopes at an
elevation of 1921m and can be completed in one day.

It is perfect for a day tour with the whole family.

Ski Amadé is a combination of the areas Schladming/Dachstein Tauern, Salzburger, Sportwelt, the Hochkönig region, Gastein and Großarltal, with a total of 760 km of slopes and 270 lifts.

Snowboarding


There are three fun parks in the Hochkönig region for snowboarders, all of which are well equipped.

The Natrum Snow Park is perfect for beginners, while the Blue Tomato Kinds and Livingroom Snow Park are
great for experienced snowboarders.

The Ski Amadé region is known as the ultimate freestyle paradise, with a total of 14 snow parks.

 

Cross-country skiing
Cross-country skiers can enjoy 40 km of trails,

spread across the regions of Maria Alm, Dienten

and Mühlbach.

 

Tobogganing
There are various options for toboggan enthusiasts, including a toboggan run at Gasthof Jufenalm

in Hinterthal.

Ski passes


The ski pass for the Ski Amadé region is also used in the Hinterthal-Hochkönig region.

Ski passes issued for more than one day allow you to
ski or snowboard throughout the Ski Amadé region. Less fanatical skiers can also purchase a day pass. These can only be used in the Hochkönig
region. You can also purchase a Salzburg Super Ski Card, which is valid in 21 ski regions and gives access to an astonishing 2,540 km of slopes!
